Youth Program Youth are the Future!!! Resolutions Northwest is a strong believer in this statement and is committed to empowering youth from diverse backgrounds to creatively resolve conflicts throughout their world and ours. To this end, RNW' offers the following programs to engage and motivate youth to become proactive in their future:
o CRS group is a fun and interactive way for youth to start looking at conflict and how it impacts the world we live in. The CRS group provides a safe space that brings together all types of youth to have an open discussion about what really goes on for youth today. They learn about how they deal with conflict and gain skills to resolve conflicts in a productive and positive way. This group is valued as an exciting collaboration between both trainers and participants.
o Part of RNW’s mission is to empower youth to work out their conflicts with each other amicably. The Peer Mediation Training is a two day training that teaches youth to become Mediators in their school or organization. Youth are taught how to work in teams to help others in conflict resolve their disputes. The training is one piece of the larger school or organizational commitment to run a peer mediation program.
o Life in Motion is an exciting blend of Conflict Resolution and Theatre skills! Youth are taught ways to resolve their conflicts through acting them out. They attain not only conflict resolution and acting skills, but gain confidence in public speaking, group problem solving and interpersonal conflict resolution. Plus they learn how to let go and make fun of themselves.
