"Between a stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and freedom. The last of human freedoms is to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances." - Viktor Frankl

The Power of Empathy

E = Presence + Understanding + Compassion

A step by step skill-building workshop.

When applied, this essential communication/life skill will improve and deepen all of your relationships.  The ability to empathize with one’s self and others is a core capacity that nearly all counselors, mediators and advisors strive to coach people in practicing.

This skill is a basic building block and required pre-requisite in the upcoming Liberating Conflict: Mediating from the Heart training.  After the training, you are invited to practice at monthy Empathy Practice Group.

Offered 6-9pm on Thursday, April 19th at: RNW, 1827 NE 44th Ave., Ste. 300.

Facilitated by: Stuart Watson, Neighborhood/Family Program Coordinator with Resolutions Northwest; Family Mediator with Progressive Mediation, and co-founder of the Oregon Network for Compassionate Communication.
