This event has been canceled. We wish you all the best as you pursue your Life on Purpose!

If you are interested in joining our mailing list for future workshops like this, or if you would like information on individual coaching, please contact us.

Your Life on Purpose is an opportunity to:

  • Re-connect with what's most important to you in each area of your life;
  • Shine a light on where the reality of your life is out of sync with your values;
  • Identify high-leverage goals to move from where you are to where you want to be; and
  • Eliminate barriers to your success.

Using a blend of highly engaging and creativity-inducing interactive exercises, self-reflection, and discussion, you will access different parts of your brain - and keep things fun - to bring out your best thinking.

Each person will leave the workshop experience with a specific action plan and tools you can use on your own in the future.

To help keep you on track and give you additional tools, a follow-up session is included.

Your Life on Purpose is a good fit for you if:

  • Your work and personal life are out of balance or overwhelming;

  • You write lists of goals but never seem to achieve them;

  • You struggle to know which goals to pursue;

  • You are spreading yourself too thin and need better focus;

  • Your "shoulds" get in the way of your true path;

  • You are at a crossroads and wonder what to do next;

  • Some parts of your life are going smoothly, but others feel out of control;

  • You know your path but keep hitting barriers;

  • You are ready to take inventory of where you are and where you want to go;

  • You need ideas and support to keep yourself solidly on your chosen path.

What past participants say

  • I really learned a lot about myself.

  • I was ready to make some decisions and it was wonderful to have a space and time and support set up to focus just on those things.

  • The process that you took us through was very useful and did help me to identify clear steps that I need to take…. The process helped me to work through some of the barriers to achieving my goal.

  • I had a eureka moment regarding the importance of activities I love but don't tend to prioritize, and how engaging that part of myself will actually make it more likely for me to attain my goals.

  • Terrific timing! The pacing was excellent. It seemed like we had enough time with each activity and weren't rushed--yet, we did a lot. I was impressed by this.

  • I had been looking forward to this workshop all summer, and it did not disappoint. It has left me feeling energized and more able to start my days early and with hopefulness, which has eluded me for some time.

  • You two did an excellent job. I'm very appreciative of your time and energy. Professionally done and very useful.

Facilitators

Kat and Teri each draw on two decades' experience in training and facilitation. They approach Your Life on Purpose as guides, not as experts. They have designed the workshop to maximize each participant's own clarity about her/his/their own values, priorities, and capacities.

Kat Kirkpatrick teaches conflict resolution using games and simulations, a passion springing from her experience leading high ropes and challenge courses. Kat is a mediator in small claims, foreclosure avoidance, workplace and neighborhood mediations; is the grievance administrator at Oregon Country Fair, a large arts and music festival; and transcribes college classes for students with disabilities at Portland Community College campuses. The concepts behind Your Life on Purpose have been used often as Kat juggles a wide variety of passions.

A facilitator, trainer, and mediator with Resolutions Northwest and in private practice, Teri Pierson has helped countless groups and individuals to think creatively and pragmatically about important choices. This definitely includes herself...on an ongoing basis! In Your Life on Purpose, Teri draws on her experience as a student and teacher of Aikido, a Japanese martial art; her passion for mindful facilitation as a way to connect across differences; and her love of theater- and arts-based activities to inspire creative thinking. Teri's favorite animal is either the jaguar or the chicken.
